St Saviours C/E CemeteryGlebe Road Glen Osmond
|This historic cemetery was established in 1855 and is now on the City of Burnside Council's Heritage Lists. Many country and suburban cemeteries were established in connection with local churches. St Saviour's Anglican Church and cemetery was opened in 1855 on land donated by Osmond Gilles at Glen Osmond. With the high mortality rate of the time, many of the earliest burials in the cemetery were of babies and small children. Well-known people including the artists George Whinnen and Archibald Collins and the journalist Ernest Whitington are buried there.
