Monarto Presbyterian Church and Cemetery

A history of the church and cemetery was published in a 1996 heritage research paper by SA Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The church is now a private residence.

Located on Law Road 3.9km north of Monarto. From Monarto proceed 3.3km north on Patterson Road, right onto Anders Road for 150m, and then left onto Law Road for 600m.

According to the heritage report the church was built in 1872 on section 448, Hundred of Monarto. Section 448 is now section 93 Hundred Monarto; and the church is sited on a very small section 94 which is excised from section 93.

The heritage report details nine unmarked graves. First person to be buried was John Laws who died 1878 aged 4 years. Then were buried Rev Alexander Law with his wife and their children, Miss Anders and the twin infants of Mr and Mrs G Patterson.
It was not registered as a burial ground.
